Sustainable development

IXINA's commitment to sustainable development is reflected in two types of initiatives. On the one hand, there are the measures taken in the more than 100 stores of the brand worldwide, and on the other hand, there is the clearly expressed desire to work with partners who are themselves committed to an environmental conservation policy. By acting in this way, IXINA intends to respond to the concerns shared in general by a clientele that seeks quality, efficiency and comfort, whilst respecting collective wellbeing on a global scale.

In concrete terms, IXINA makes sure it protects the environment by using recyclable construction materials for its showrooms, by not producing any harmful waste and moreover by contributing to a reduction in heat loss and/or the making of energy savings.

With regard to our partners, the main supplier of IXINA kitchens holds the most rigorous ISO certifications for quality management and environmental management. It also assures the 'ecological' management of packaging materials. In addition, for both this catalogue and the monthly leaflet, the printers were selected because they hold the double PEFC-FSC certification (Forest Stewardship Council & Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification). They are the two main sustainable forest management programmes in the world.

The FSC label is awarded by the Forest Stewardship Council created in 1993, following the Rio Conference, by forest industry representatives and indigenous organisations from 25 countries.
The PEFC label was launched by European forest owners in order to complement the FSC, which is not sufficiently adapted for the configurations of European forests.
